WILD CARD PLAYERS

LIV Golf features Wild Card players who compete as individuals and are not assigned to any of the 13 four-man teams. These players compete for individual points and prize money but do not participate in the team competition.

Lee, born in Toronto, earned his place as a Wild Card player by winning the 2026 LIV Golf Promotions event. He is a multiple-time winner on the Asian Tour and International Series, highlighted by victories in high-profile events and a reputation as one of the circuit’s most reliable performers.

Björn Hellgren (SWE)

Hellgren qualified for the 2026 LIV Golf season by finishing 2nd in the Promotions event. The Swedish golfer has been a regular presence on the Nordic and European circuits, where he established himself as a consistent contender with a strong all-around game.

Scott Vincent (ZWE)

Zimbabwean Scott Vincent returns to LIV Golf for the 2026 season after topping The International Series Rankings. Vincent’s campaign featured a victory at the International Series Morocco and a runner-up finish at the International Series event in Jakarta. Vincent was the Asian Tour’s International Series Order of Merit winner in both 2022 and 2025 and was named Asian Tour Rookie of the Year in 2016.

Yosuke Asaji (JPN)

Asaji, a native of Tokyo, Japan, secured his Wild Card spot for the 2026 LIV Golf season by finishing 2nd in the season-long International Series Rankings. He became the first Japanese player in 49 years to win the Singapore Open in 2025 and has compiled multiple professional wins on the Japan Golf Tour and the Asian Tour.

Tabuena is the first player from the Philippines to earn full-time status in LIV Golf. He was named a Wild Card player prior to the second event of the 2026 season, taking the spot of Anthony Kim, who signed with 4Aces GC. The four-time Asian Tour winner scored a breakthrough victory at the International Series Philippines in October 2025, which propelled him to a third-place finish in the season rankings. He debuted in LIV Golf in the 2026 season opener as a substitute for 4Aces GC in Riyadh.

Travis Smyth (AUS)

Prior to rejoining LIV Golf as a Wild Card for the Mexico City event, Smyth was leading the Asian Tour Order of Merit through three events and notched a win at the 2026 International Series Japan. The Australian is a graduate of the Asian Tour Qualifying School (2018) and won the Yeangder TPC in 2022. He also claimed the ISPS HANDA Japan-Australasia Championship on the PGA Tour of Australasia in early 2026. Smyth played in the first three events in LIV history in 2022.
